Volume 1 Bookstore - September 2005.

Volume One bookstore is a used bookstore located in the heart of downtown Hillsdale. While shopping there one day I mentioned I was doing a documentary on haunted locations in Hillsdale County. The owners mentioned that their store (and the loft next to it) were haunted. This peeked my interest and here is how the haunting story goes: While coming home from a night out late one night the owner and the tenant of the loft where standing out side of the storefront. They heard rag time music begin to play on the 3rd floor of the bookstore. It's important to note that the 3rd floor has no electricity and is boarded up with nothing kept inside of it. They heard laughter and what sounded like a party going on up on the third floor. Both heard it, both looked at each, both decided it was time to call it a night.

The loft next to it has been reported to be kept clean by a past tenant, who might I add is no longer amoung the living. Also one night the owner came home to find his beloved feline staring intently at a window in the loft. After closer examination the owner saw a hand print in the mist of the window, located on the outside of his second floor apartment!

The Haunted Hillsdale team conducted their investigation of these two places in late September of 2005. Here are the pictures we captured!
